Receiving, stocking, preparation, and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Drive / Operate forklift and electronic pallet jack.
- Pick merchandise from slots.
- Load merchandise into trucks.
- Drop merchandise from 'reserve' to 'pick' slots.
- Prepare 'Via' merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
- Repack loose merchandise.
- Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
External Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required :
- Ability to pass Warehouse Aptitude Test.
- Able to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly and 70-100 lbs. occasionally each shift.
- Able to bend, stoop, climb, stand, and twist for extended periods.
- Able to operate forklift / pallet jack and cherry picker and complete forklift training / certification requirements.
- Able to operate a Voice Pick system and the shrink wrap machine.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
