We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our growing team in the United States. We are looking for candidates to join us in either of our California or Washington offices.

The Role
As KGS Group continues to develop strong technical delivery teams, we are looking to support our teams with broad project coordination support.
This role would assist with many day-to-day project management tasks, scheduling and contract administration, and would provide support for some of the general office needs of our West Coast operations.
The successful candidate would help gather and manage task priorities and deliverable tracking for the group. You will be working in a friendly and collaborative environment with opportunity to interface directly with staff, clients and contractors.
It is anticipated that this individual would work with many of the team leaders within the California and Washington offices.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Help track and monitor deliverables both formal and internal for our California and Washington teams.
- Support preparation of client proposals and task orders.
- Help with project creation, and closeout throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Prepare project and client reporting.
- Monitor project expenditures, budgets, and review invoices.
- Coordinate with various team leads and project managers to review and determine critical timelines.
- Identify scheduling issues in advance and work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve.
- Assist in preparing schedules related to internal KGS Group managed projects..
- Work collaboratively with other disciplines to execute project deliverables, as well as ensuring that the firm’s quality control program and objectives, schedules and budgets are met.
- Type, format, edit, and proofread documents such as reports, memos, etc.
- Answer and transfer phone calls, take messages, and respond to various vendors associated with providing services to the office.
- Submit prevailing wages and certified payroll.
- Order office supplies and materials.
- Make travel arrangements and assist with expense reports for office personnel.
About You
To fill the role, we’re looking for an applicant to bring forward a good mix of qualifications and previous experiences. Some highlights could include :
- An engineering technology diploma or a project management training certificate with credentials and experience as a project administrator or project manager, or equivalent is desired.
- Experience with project management tools, including MS-Project, P6, etc. is a benefit.
- Working knowledge of the Deltek Vision software is an asset.
- Working knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel.
- 5+ years of experience in the consulting or project delivery industry is essential, more would be a benefit.
- Interest in performing project management roles and tasks, as well as administrative project functions is a plus.
- Working in an area where multi-discipline engineering design has been done would be a benefit.
- Experience in government facilities, industrial facilities, and hydropower facilities or similar is a plus.
- Experience with prevailing wages and certified payroll is considered an asset.
- Have a drive, attitude, and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
- Ability to work well with a multi-discipline design engineering team.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills with interest in improving client and contractor interaction and relationship building activities.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability / willingness to undergo security clearance checks.
- Candidates local to the Sacramento, California area strongly preferred.
- Must be a team player.
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong organization skills are desired.
- Client interaction : must be able to effectively participate at project meetings and communicate project information.
The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000 annually.
