n Unit Specifics : Med Surg / Medicine E3 nUnit staffing description- : 5 RNs, 3 PCA and a unit secretary, Type of equipment : PCA pump, IV pump, Kangaroo pump, wound vac, chest tubes, Bipap nDocumentation system : Cerner Soarian nScheduling requirements : 3 12 hour shifts plus every third weekend nFloating policy : to areas with competency.

AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes nPatient Experience requirements : At least one year of general Medicine / Surgery n nUnit Specifics : Med Surg / Medicine E4 nNumber of Beds : 36-bed unit nUnit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : nType of equipment : Blood pressure machines, IV pumps, wound vacs, PCA pain control pumps, PAPRs, telemetry monitoring, pulse oximeter, WOWs nDocumentation system : Soarian documentation system, MAK medication system nScheduling requirements : Every other weekend, every other Friday, and every other holiday nFloating policy : to areas with competency.

AMC has an internal float pool team. nHospital Specifics- nCertifications : Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult);

Children’s Hospital within a hospital nProcedures performed on unit : Central line placement, paracentesis, wound vac placement.

nCertifications Required : BLS required. Medical-Surgical certification encouraged. n nUnit Specifics : Med Surg FLOAT POOL nNumber of Beds : 766 licensed beds nUnit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Work side by side with members of interdisciplinary teams on all units : PA’s, NP’s, Residents, Attending MDs, Fellows, PCA, and ASAs nType of equipment : wound vac, EKG monitoring, advanced neuro assessments nDocumentation system : Soarian nScheduling requirements : Every other weekend;

may request weekend block Fri / Sat / Sun or Sat / Sun / Mon nFloating policy : to areas with competency. nPatient Experience requirements : Working with a variety of different patient populations.

Must be flexible in assignments, comfortable with change, and willing to learn new skills nAdvanced skills needed : Ability and willingness to float to 22 different medical and surgical units.
