About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your specialist Work Health and Safety (WHS) expertise to lead a transformational change project within a diverse public sector department.
We have one fixed term, full time (75hrs p / f) position available as Project Manager Work Health and Safety Reform, for period from September 2024 to December 2025 with possibility of extension and / or permanency.
As Project Manager WHS Reform, you will :
- Drive and deliver change and reform initiatives required to demonstrate compliance with the WHS Act 2020 and associated regulations applicable to DLGSC and its Statutory Authorities.
- Lead and coordinate the development of high-level WHS strategies, policies, and procedures that form part of a comprehensive WHS Management System.
- Design and implement a contemporary and compliant WHS Management System and facilitate continuous improvement through ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of risks.
- Provide expert advice to the Corporate Executive, senior leaders, workers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Governance and Risk, Infrastructure and Statutory Authorities to design, build and deliver best practice strategies, initiatives, programs and activities.
