Overview
We are looking for a committed Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse clinical settings, such as inpatient, outpatient, ICU, PICU, and emergency medicine.
This role provides the opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center, delivering care to patients of all age groups.
Duties
Respiratory Care - Adults
Under the guidance and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director / manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) I is responsible for administering respiratory therapy and conducting pulmonary diagnostic procedures as prescribed by the physician.
The role focuses on assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting patient care, taking into account the specific needs of different age groups and populations.
In the absence of a supervisor, the RCP I may be designated as Lead RCP, overseeing the department or section during their shift.
Qualifications
- CA State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License is required.
- Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certification (AHA) and NRP required at the time of hire and must be maintained.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
