This position is responsible for providing outstanding service, consultation and support to the leaders and employees at Curi RMB Capital.
This role is charged with partnering with the parent company (Curi Management Company) and Curi RMB Capital leadership on People and HR objectives, ideas, priorities, and procedures.
This person will work to ensure a high quality and consistent team member experience that supports Curi RMB Capital’s people and culture goals.
Responsibilities
- Partner with VP, People and Curi RMB Capital leadership to understand goals and priorities. Identify the necessary strategies and plans to ensure effective people practices are in place to support goal achievement.
- Drives superior employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention by delivering a positive experience throughout the employee lifecycle, creating a welcoming, engaging and rewarding place to work.
- Ensure Curi RMB Capital’s values are integrated in daily practices and actions.
- Oversee and lead the core HR processes for Curi RMB Capital (performance management, compensation rewards administration, goal planning, talent assessment, feedback mechanisms, leader coaching, training and development, etc.).
- Partner with Curi RMB Capital leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to identify and anticipate recruiting needs within Curi RMB Capital;
help with sourcing strategies and job descriptions.
- Work hand-in-hand with parent company (Curi) on onboarding and offboarding strategies and tasks.
- Partner with leaders and others across organization to assist with change management initiatives to ensure effective communication, training, feedback loops and measurement strategies are in place for key change initiatives.
- Stays informed and knowledgeable about the industry and competition, including new developments that may affect current and future people decisions.
- Advances and reinforces the culture, brand, and values of the firm through communication and strategic storytelling.
- Monitor current policies and practices to ensure they meet the needs of Curi RMB Capital and the broader Curi organization.
Recommend alternative strategies as appropriate. Ensure consistent interpretation of policies and practices.
- Partner with leaders to manage employee relations matters quickly, efficiently, and consistently.
- Stay up to date in changing HR practices and offer suggestions to improve current processes.
- Design and deliver training programs to leaders and team members leveraging internal and external resources.
- In partnership with the Curi people team, help to develop, execute, and promote Curi’s Inclusion strategy and other broader initiatives.

- Effectively build and maintain relationships within and outside of Curi RMB Capital, with leaders and all levels of employees and across the Curi people team.
- Ability to make decisions in a fair and consistent manner, offer alternative ideas and support leaders in messaging to team members.
- Foster a culture of innovation by presenting new ideas, challenging the status quo, and applying creative approaches to work.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Position oversees the Administrative Assistant in the Chicago office.
- Administrative Assistant is accountable for various HR support, such as scheduling interviews and updating the org chart, in addition to other office management duties such as greeting guests, ordering office supplies, and helping with events.
Experience, Education and Skills
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive business outcomes.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to innovate, challenge the status quo, and drive positive change within Curi RMB Capital.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
- 6+ years in an HR generalist role consulting with leaders and team members on people practices
- Demonstrated relationship building capabilities and an innovative, creative approach to problem solving.
- Is a credible and trusted business partner; has the appropriate knowledge / skills and demonstrates behaviors that foster productive relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills ability to effectively deliver outcomes in a timely, pro-active manner.
- Demonstrates good business judgement with the capacity to handle confidential information and escalate issues effectively.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives and meet assigned deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively with all levels of individuals and management to maximize performance.
- Strong attention to detail
- Travel as needed; likely a minimum of 2-4 trips per year to collaborate with key individuals across the company.
