Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Speech Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) to join our team inTexas.
This role will be providing essential speech and language therapy services. The caseload includes a diverse range of students, from regular education placements focusing on articulation and language, to special education settings, with some students using communication devices.
Additionally, this position will include the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
Responsibilities :
- Assess and Evaluate : Assess and evaluate speech and language disorders in elementary students.
- Develop Therapy Plans : Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Provide Therapy Services : Provide therapy services to students individually and in groups.
- Collaborate : Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to support therapy goals.
- Monitor Progress : Monitor and adjust therapy based on student progress.
- Supervise SLPA : Oversee and guide the work of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and treatment plans.
- IEPs : Write and update IEPs as needed.
- Progress Notes and Billing : Complete progress notes and bill Medicaid.
- Parent Communication : Maintain regular contact with parents.
- Conduct Evaluations : Conduct evaluations as needed.
- Team Participation : Participate in team meetings and professional development.
Qualifications :
- M.A. / M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Current Texas State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Creative planning and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech and language therapy practices.
- Experience with AACs and communication devices.
- Experience supervising a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is preferred.
