Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients orthotic and pedorthic needs, taking into account their medical history, lifestyle, and specific requirements.
- Design and fabricate custom orthotic devices tailored to each patients unique anatomy and functional goals.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care, fostering a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
- Provide expert consultations and education to patients and their families, guiding them through the selection, fitting, and usage of orthotic devices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation, adhering to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Contribute to the mission and goals of our clients organization, actively participating in community outreach programs and initiatives to promote awareness and access to orthotic and pedorthic services.
Qualifications :
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving the lives of individuals through orthotic and pedorthic solutions.
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Certification through the ABC or BOC as Orthotic Fitter considered a plus
- Experience working within a hospital system preferred
