Responsibilities :
- Design and oversee civil engineering projects from start to finish, acting as project engineer.
- Attend client meetings, planning commission meetings, city council meetings.
- Design horizontal and vertical alignments for stormwater, sanitary, and water mains on-site development projects.
- Perform or oversee surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling, including stormwater detention.
- Design and oversee site grading.
- Prepare technical reports such as storm reports and SWPPPs.
- Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, verifying that projects comply with various regulations.
- Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
Required Experience :
- 4+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
- 2-5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed PE.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent technical writing skills for creating reports and proposals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
