Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for our Internal Communications Leader, Guy Carpenter position. This role is a hybrid position and requires 3 days in our NYC office.

The Guy Carpenter Internal Communications Leader is responsible for developing, driving and executing a multi-channel internal communications strategy across Guy Carpenter.

Working closely with the Guy Carpenter CMO, the programs developed will align to key business objectives that focus on defined growth, brand and people priorities.

This includes ensuring that Marsh McLennan enterprise priority messages are integrated, customized and activated in Guy Carpenter in a measurable way to reach target audiences effectively.

We will count on you to :

Strategy Development (20%) : Develop, manage and lead internal communications strategies supporting Guy Carpenter business priorities to drive measurable outcomes, ensuring that communication activities are part of an overall plan-based, audience-centric, data-informed approach.

Stakeholder Engagement / Management (20%) : Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Guy Carpenter COO, CAO, CPO, Region Business Leaders and other stakeholders.

Ensure consistent tone, messaging, and content across channels and audiences.

Content Creation and Distribution (30%) : Develop high-quality content that is

engaging, informative, and effective. Determine the most appropriate channels for distributing the content, such as email, intranet, digital signage, colleague forums (e.

g., Town Halls) or internal social platforms, to ensure maximum reach and impact.

Direct / Indirect People Management (20%) : Provide management and training to internal communications manager; partner with marketers and communicators in regions to ensure alignment with global messaging and priorities.

Communication Measurement and Analysis (10%) : Track and measure the effectiveness of Guy Carpenter communication initiatives, gathering feedback and insights to continuously improve strategies and messaging.

What you need to have :

10+ years of experience in an internal communications or related positions (corporate or agency environment)

Ability to think strategically and align communication strategy / plan with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Ability to lead and motivate others through impact and influence and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to convey (in writing) complex information in clear and understandable formats to a wide range of audiences with differing levels of understanding.

Disciplined approach; plan-based, executes flawlessly and always meets deadlines.

Defines and implements strategy metrics uses data to make informed decisions.

Strong relationship-building skills. Proven ability to establish rapport, collaborate effectively, and influence others to support communication initiatives.

What makes you stand out :

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications, Master’s is a plus

Change management experience, specifically helping employees navigate transitions and maintaining employee engagement and morale during change.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced global environment; open to new ideas and able to navigate through ambiguity and uncertainty.

Has impeccable listening skills and strong communications instincts.

All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.

Office-based teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $93,000 to $185,900.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.

Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
