The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A Inventory & Back Office Functions) will work with functional heads and their respective teams as an influential and trusted financial adviser.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be a part of the Corporate FP&A team, reporting to the Senior Finance Director. The Senior Financial Analyst leads the development, review, and communication of the various functions long-range and annual financial and plans, monthly forecasts, investments, and ad hoc analyses for the various functional groups.

The Senior Financial Analyst also supports the functions by providing analytical and financial analysis for various initiatives that may include capital investments, store footprint, corporate strategies and initiatives which drive real-world opportunities to drive top-line sales and bottom-line profit improvement for the Sourcing / Production, Planning & Allocation, Distribution & Transportation and Information Technologies.

This role requires critical thinking, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to influence senior executives as well as the development of effective partnerships throughout the company.

Responsibilities :

  • Partners with the functional leads and their teams and the FP&A leads throughout the company to deliver accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts, key metrics, and plans (both annual and long range) relative to sales, profit, capital investment, and the balance sheet.
  • Consolidates and provides insights into the financial results, forecasts and plans for review and presentation to the CEO, CFO, and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Develops and communicates financial materials for management including board materials, reports, and ad hoc requests.
  • Critically assesses the business to provide insightful analyses and actionable recommendations to improve business results and integrate strategic initiatives.
  • Provides data, reports, and supporting information for analysis of short- and long-term financial plans and performance commitments.
  • Supports and leads the development of professional financial planning activities and financial awareness and company performance throughout the company.
  • Ensures the consistency and assesses usefulness of analyses presented to senior leadership and company ownership.
  • Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Finance, Business Administration or similar discipline
  • MBA and / or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis experience, preferably in the retail / wholesale sector
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance concepts, accounting principles and FP&A business cycle
  • Strong modeling and computer skills; comfortable with multiple tools, programs and platforms and highly proficient in Excel and Access.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to summarize business results in a manner tailored to the audience
  • Highly motivated team player with ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
