Medical Assistant
A reputable urgent care network based in NYC is currently seeking Medical Assistants for their Brooklyn location. This clinic strives to treat a range of illnesses and diseases quickly and affordably, making long trips to the ER a thing of the past.
They are currently seeking passionate candidates to join their team and provide seamless delivery of care.
The base pay range for this position is $19 to $22 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and / or skill level, among other things.
Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. This is a true temp-to-perm role;

Responsibilities :
- Obtain vital signs, height, weight and document information into EMR.
- Perform phlebotomy, complete appropriate laboratory forms
- Accurately label specimens with patient information.
- Collect laboratory and ancillary test results from the computer, email or fax reports.
- Perform EKG and audio-visual testing and conduct tests (Urinalysis, Rapid Strep / Flu, Glucose (finger), mono, splinting / strapping, etc.).
- Assist on procedures including the setup and processing of equipment.
- Discharge patients from room with instructions.
- Perform vitals, specimen collections, health assessments and follow-up for patients.
- Ensure patient flow is speedy and organized.
Qualifications :
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Technician Certification
- Experience performing phlebotomy
- At least one year of experience working in a clinical setting
- BLS certification ideal
