Requirements :
- Possession of a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
- Illinois licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility
- Strong interpersonal and counseling skills
Responsibilities :
- Provide tailored counseling and support services to students, addressing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and community resources to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Conduct thorough assessments and actively participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Advocate fervently for students' needs and rights within both the school and the wider community
- Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in school social work through continuous professional development activities
