Duties and Responsibilities
- Review existing risk assessments to identify additional potential risks across various areas, including financial, operational, regulatory, and strategic risks.
- Develop and maintain risk and control libraries within the enterprise risk management platform, linking all identified risks and associated mitigation plans to business areas across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with different departments to identify and implement mitigating controls into the risk assessment.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented controls and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure that all risk management activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and adjust risk assessment risks and controls accordingly.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of risk management frameworks, policies, procedures, and job aids.
- Conduct risk management training sessions for staff to promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.
- Document and report Issues Management findings to management and recommend preventive measures.
- Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management, outlining key findings and recommendations.
Requirements :
Essential Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks.
- Project management skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in risk analysis, risk management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools (e.g., nContracts).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk management.
