Histology Technician

Job Title : Histology TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Histology Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for specimen analysis, following CAP and CLIA guidelines, and preparing stains, reagents, solutions, and mounting slides for microscopic analysis.

Additional duties include adhering to HIPAA guidelines, operating laboratory information management systems such as EPIC or Beeker, cutting and embedding samples, and performing microtomy.

The role involves loading pap smears into instruments for staining, supporting cytology preparation of samples, and working with various types of biopsies.

The candidate will also be required to complete special stains in automated machines and support the preparation, cutting, and staining of 100 blocks in about 2 hours.

Work EnvironmentThis position is for a full-time Histology Technician, working Monday to Friday, with every other weekend shift from 7-3pm.

The role is based in a hospital laboratory with over 130 employees of various skill sets.The successful candidate will be joining a team of five histotechs.
