Primary Responsibilities :
The Speech Language Pathologist role in the classroom is :
- to design and implement thematic curriculum areas,
- to ensure that students master goals and objectives of the curriculum,
- to document progress of all students in all developmental domains,
- to collaborate with the educator to support acquisition of spoken language skills in the students using a transdisciplinary model,
- to participate in clinical research projects relating to outcomes in children with hearing loss,
- to share expertise from the field of speech and language pathology with other staff members
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensure and certification required
- Ability to work in a team teaching environment
- Ability to work creatively and in a self-directed manner
- Resourceful, flexible, and service oriented
