Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions :
- Leads a small Sales Team based in Michigan, USA & Celaya, MEX to success.
- Is the customer’s voice in MPST NA, exhibits and demands a thorough APQP approach.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Requests and supports market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, etc.
- Prepares and executes successful initial outreach to prospective customers.
- Is point contact for and leads communication with customers and develops and maintains a contact database.
- Drives Mubea team to deliver tailored optimal solutions to customers.
- Directs the offer process including feasibility check, design, costing and pricing.
- Ensures all data entries in internal and external systems related with account MPST NA.
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product and participate in related industry groups.
- Delivers sales presentations and key message such as customer benefits and USP to clients.
- Meets with buyers, purchasing directors and related customer roles, developing and maintaining relationships and leads negotiating, onboarding of customers and closing deals.
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units (Engineering).
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Tracks back-office sales tasks.
- Supports MPST NA Sales Planning in the frame of corporate planning.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
- Understand and utilize applicable scrap resale procedures.
- Completes or requests Market Analysis / Study for specific customers and / or products.
- Supports BDMs in completing Market Analysis for specific customer and / or products.
- Supports BDM’s in transferring information from cost calculation to customer cost breakdown (CBD) form.
- Ensures proper success management with effective growth management, regular account reviews and a sustainable customer retention program.
Your profile
Required Education & Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive sales and account management of significantly technical products, preferably in the field of precision steel tubes (mechanical tubes).
- Understands Tier 1 customers’ benefits of Mubea local production in Central Mexico under USMCA rules.
- Candidate must possess good communication and organization skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Outlook, Internet software and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Processing software.
- The successful candidate is intricately familiar with the automotive business environment in the US Mid-West and Mexico alike and is fluent in both languages.
- Must be able to demonstrate a successful record of new business development.
Preferred Education and Experience :
- Steel Tubes Sales in North America.
- Willingness to travel (25%+).
- SAP experience.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing and / or engineering and sales driven business.
- Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization.
- Basic German is an advantage
