Bilingual Mental Health Clinician
We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Mental Health Clinician to join our team, providing critical mental health services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) within the ORR Shelter program. This role focuses on clinical and counseling services, ensuring the mental and emotional wellbeing of a vulnerable population. The ideal candidate will contribute to individual service plans, manage crisis interventions, and work collaboratively with case management and medical teams to support the UC's overall health and reunification processes.
Salary : $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conduct and document comprehensive mental health assessments.
- Screen for trauma, child abuse, sexual abuse, and human trafficking.
- Identify risks of harm to self or others and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Create and contribute to individual service plans (ISP) for each UC.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Ensure the oversight of each UC's mental and emotional health.
- Execute crisis interventions as needed.
- Assess the need for higher levels of care or specialized psychological evaluations and make referrals as necessary.
- Coordinate care with case management and medical staff to ensure integrated support.
- Maintain detailed clinical case files and ensure compliance with ORR policies and procedures.
- Promote harmonious relationships among staff, public, and youth.
- Ensure continuous supervision (line of sight and sound) of youth under care.
Minimum Position Qualifications :
A Master's Degree from an accredited clinical program in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related behavioral science with direct clinical experience as a program requirement.Licensed or eligible for licensure in Kansas.Ability to pass a KBI and CANIS background check.Good driving record to meet insurance requirements.Bilingual (Spanish / English) competency required, both spoken and written.Skills :
Strong diagnostic and assessment skills.Proficiency in therapeutic intervention techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle high stress situations and make critical decisions.Experience in case management and coordination.
