Belle Creek Charter School is a K-8 school nestled in the charming neighborhood of Belle Creek in Henderson, CO. Belle Creek is a Core Knowledge school providing its students with a rich and immersive learning experience in grades Kindergarten - Eighth grade.

K-3 students are taught using the Orton-Gillingham approach, which is a direct, explicit, systematic, and sequential instruction, incorporating multi-sensory learning.

This instruction aligns with the Science of Reading.

Positions : Girls’ Basketball Coach (6th grade - 8th grade athletes)

Dates : Looking to fill ASAP. Season begins in December 2024

Overview : Candidates will assume the role of an athletic coach at Belle Creek Charter School, coaching students in 6th - 8th grades.

Reports To : Athletic Director

Pay Range : $800-$1000 (for the entire season)

Responsibilities :

Supervision and coaching of student athletes at all levels of the program

Build sportsmanship, fitness, and excitement in students through effectively coaching basketball teams

Coordinate with the Athletic Director for use of the field and facilities

Work with the Athletic Director, parents, and other coaches to schedule athletic departure times and provide transportation supervision

Participate and help with award banquets

Distribute and collect uniforms

Communicate with the Athletic Director about student athletes’ needs, incidents, and all other concerns related to the program

Will follow league, district, and CHSAA / NFHS policies and regulations

Provide accurate and feasible budget information to the Athletic Director

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Recommended that the applicants have previous coaching experience with middle school students

Demonstrated success and positivity in coaching programs

Knowledge of all aspects of the skills involved with this sport

Strong communication and organizational skills including the ability to mediate arguments and give constructive criticism

Excellent goal setting and team building skills

Applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check performed by the school

NFHS Concussion Certification required prior to coaching athletes

CPR First Aid recommended
