Software Developer

A leading utility provider located in New York, NY is looking for a Software Developer for a 6-12 month contract..

Please note that this role is ideally hybrid, but remote work is allowed.

Pay rate range : $64.00 / hr - $74.00 / hr

Requirements and skills

• 5+ years of experience with .NET framework
• 3+ years of experience with .NET core
• 5+ years of experience with Web API Development (Azure)
• 3+ years of experience with React or Angular Framework
• Ability to integrate with 3rd Party REST APIs
• Experience with Microsoft Language Understanding (LUIS) or other language services
• Experience with .Net, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript / jQuery
• Experience with Azure (Key Vault, App configuration, Cosmos DB, SQL, Bot Channel, Application Insights, Telemetry)
• Experience with Azure CI / CD for .net applications
• Experience with Language Services
• Self-motivated with ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines without frequent supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Skills

• Mentoring and assisting team members for career growth and technical development
• Representing the team at technology discussions and meetings
• Incorporating industry best practices and recommendations in design of solutions
• Basic to intermediate knowledge on generative AI applications and models
• Utility or customer service industry knowledge is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• We are currently seeking a Software developer with strong communications skills, to work with our existing IT delivery team to design, develop, test and implement key functional enhancements based on business requirements from our product owners.
• The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, can help foster relationships, facilitate and coordinate standard project operations and support and drive excellence.
• The ideal candidate will have experience developing on the Microsoft Bot Framework and LUIS.
• Experience with chatbot creation is a plus.
• The successful candidate will have the ability to integrate with REST APIs to deliver business capabilities that reduce calls to the call center by offering more digital self-service options.
