The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco is recruiting for the next Chief of the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine.
Appointment will be made at the Associate or Full Professor rank of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X or In Residence series.
Academic rank is commensurate with experience.
The selected candidate will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Departments mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
The ideal candidate will have significant program development and management expertise with a strong background in clinical team operations, innovative research, and educational program development in the field of adolescent and young adult medicine.
The adolescent and young adult medicine practice is based out of the University of California Mission Bay campus with clinics at Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, Walnut Creek, Marin County.
The Division Chief for Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine will benefit from substantial institutional resources to expand our current interdisciplinary clinical, research, and education programs.
Required qualifications :
- Medical degree and license
- Board certified or board eligible in adolescent medicine
- Commitment to diversity in the workplace
Preferred qualifications :
- Strength in teaching
- Strong communication skills across a variety of venues
- Internationally recognized leader in the field of adolescent and young adult medicine
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 .The minimum base salary range for this position is $156,700-$333,700.
This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
