Job Description : Director of Golf and F&B Operations
Salary : $100K - $150K ++
Position Title : Director of Golf & F&B Operations
Location : Southwest Texas
Reports To : General Manager
Position Overview
The Director of Golf & F&B Operations will oversee the entire golf operation, including the golf course, pro shop, tournaments, Food & Beverage and staff management.
This role requires an individual with extensive knowledge and experience in golf & F&B management, who can ensure a superior guest experience while driving operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Golf Course Management :
- Oversee the daily operations of the golf course, ensuring it remains in pristine condition at all times.
- Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to maintain and improve course standards.
- Implement and monitor maintenance schedules and budgets.
Pro Shop Oversight :
- Manage the pro shop operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and sales strategies.
- Develop and execute retail promotions to drive revenue and enhance guest satisfaction.
Staff Leadership :
- Recruit, train, and supervise golf staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
Food & Beverage :
- Oversee FOH & BOH of all F&B Operations
- Work with the Catering Team on selling private functions
- Work closely with the team on course F&B offerings
Tournament and Event Coordination :
- Plan and coordinate golf tournaments and special events, ensuring seamless execution.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to promote and increase participation in golf events.
Guest Experience :
- Ensure a high-quality guest experience by maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years in golf & F&B operations management, preferably within a luxury resort setting.
- Proven track record of successfully managing golf courses and F&B operations.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred
Skills :
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in golf management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications :
PGA Class A membership preferred.
