Job Summary :
This position provides clerical and administrative support for the IIN’s various research, education, and public outreach programs and activities.
Responsibilities include : assisting with small and large events of all types and general clerical support; creating and maintaining associated documents, spreadsheets, databases, for meetings and special events.
Advises supervisor of critical issues.

Event and Program Support
- Coordinates events which may include scheduling rooms and arranging for routine materials, A / V, and refreshments.
- Set-up, monitor, and maintain space during events.
- Place event signage at pre-determined Evanston Campus locations.
- Compiles routine reports, statistics, tables, charts, etc. from readily available information.
- Create and alphabetize event participant name badges.
- Prepare event handouts and other materials.
- Collects agenda items and background materials.
- Organize and maintain event support items and storage.
- Liaise with event vendors and partners.
- Answer event participant queries.
- Additional tasks assigned as necessary.
General Office and Clerical Support
- Update and maintain listservs.
- Post pre-approved social media content on Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube
- Organize bulletin boards, storage, and other areas.
- Support clerical projects, such as creating documents and managing spreadsheets
- Additional tasks assigned as necessary.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative, marketing, or events experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
