ZI248 - Housekeeper/Family Assistant - Upper West Side

Overview

Seeking a super-organised, live-out housekeeper / family assistant for busy principals (and their 5yr old son) on the Upper West Side.

The usual schedule will be 8.00am-5.00pm, Monday through Friday, however please be flexible to allow for occasional weekend help or longer days.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will be many and varied, and may include :

• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the main areas of the home
• Laundry and ironing
• Wardrobe management
• Deep cleaning on a regular basis
• Helping with the morning and afternoon school drop offs and pick ups
• Assisting with the after-school routine (including activities) and homework
• Running errands
• Accompanying the principals to appointments
• Diary management and booking appointments
• Liaising with contractors
• Working with the family to oversee special projects and coordinate with vendors
• Shopping for and preparing healthy, home-cooked style meals and snacks for the family
• Miscellaneous admin tasks and generally ensuring the family’s day-to-day life runs smoothly

Requirements

• Attention to detail and superlative organizational skills
• Smart, switched on and full of initiative
• Longevity in previous roles (this is very important to the principals - up to 5 years with a family would be preferred)
• Clean and current driver's license, preferably
• Ability to remain 4 steps ahead at all times, plenty of initiative and a strong work ethic
• Previous experience supporting a HNW individual with very high expectations
• Previous childcare experience would be preferable
• Pitch-in mentality - this is a hybrid role that requires forward-thinking, motivated and friendly candidates who are comfortable supporting the family wherever needed.
• Candidates must be reliable and professional
• Legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

From $40 / hr depending on experience

All industry standard benefits - guaranteed hours, 2 weeks PTO, sick days, 7 paid holidays
