We have a current opening for a CAD Technician. At Mi-Tech, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all of our services, which include : Communications Design Services, Energy Distribution Services, Utility Pole Inspection, and Environmental Services.
Responsibilities :
- Interpret customer-provided route proposals and incorporate them into OSP design.
- Ability to acquire field data to be used in the OSP design, and import collected data into OSP design. Associate collected features to correct design features within AutoCAD.
- Ability to determine ROW locations
- Determine the correct customer template to be used in the creation of construction and permitting drawings.
- Determine construction unit descriptions with minimal direction.
- Ability to complete the design of OSP projects, aerial, buried, and underground using AutoCAD, Adobe, GIS, and Excel with minimal direction.
- Complete construction unit and material summaries with minimal direction.
- Capable of completing ROW permitting and submittal as needed on behalf of the facility owner.
- Confirms all deliverable documents are complete at project handoff with minimal direction.
- Attend site walks, pre-con meetings, and follow-up calls
- Possible travel, including overnight travel
Requirements : ?
- OSP Telecom experience preferred
- 1-2 years related experience preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Suite software
- Demonstrated ability to critically think
