Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team at a prestigious luxury residential property.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, safety, and functionality of all engineering operations within the property.
This role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in property management and a passion for excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all aspects of engineering operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of all equipment and systems.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional resident experiences.
- Manage the budget for the engineering department, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide solutions to minimize downtime and inconvenience to residents.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors to secure necessary services and supplies.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury residential or
- hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective maintenance programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
