Kinsa is recruiting for a : VP of Contract Mfg. & Supply Chain / Dairy Based Beverage

Location : Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)

Our client is a frozen dairy beverage manufacturer based in Los Angeles, CA. The mission for the VP of Co-Mfg & Supply Chain is to ensure the smooth operations of the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and quality in the manufacturing and distribution operations .

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be the senior leader responsible for strategically managing all aspects of our organization's supply chain operations, with a focus on contract manufacturers.

Successful candidates MUST HAVE 10 years of experience in a food processing plant environment and experience in co-manufacturing.

Compensation / Benefits :

  • $185,000 $220,000 compensation range

Key Responsibilities and Goals :

Oversee and manage relationships with contract manufacturers, identifying new and qualifying potential contract manufacturers, negotiating contracts, setting performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with quality and production standards.

Resolving any issues as they arise.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely availability of raw materials and finished goods to meet production and customer needs while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
  • Establish and maintain stringent quality control measures across all manufacturing processes through to finished product delivery, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Manage and coordinate the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Implement and leverage technology systems, such as supply chain management software and data analytics tools, to enhance visibility and decision-making.

Competencies Needed for Success :

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, including developing and executing supply chain strategies, driving operational efficiency, and managing external partnerships.
  • Experience in the Beverage, Dairy, / or Frozen Industry or FMCG is preferred .
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing operations, including sourcing, production oversight, and quality management.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.

Industry-specific certifications (e.g., Dairy Science) are advantageous.

Willingness to travel to Co-Manufacturers, 25-30% of the time.
