Manager of Operations - Rotational Leadership Program

The Manager of Operations will be responsible for the overall success of various Paycom Operations departments alongside other department leadership.

The Manager of Operations will be responsible for fostering continued operations excellence, process improvement, and establishing strategic initiatives with current Paycom Leadership to meet short-term and long-term corporate goals.

This position will work with their teams to develop and monitor business metrics / targets, driving the appropriate operational reviews to support achieving operational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside other senior leaders in Operations to coach and develop other department leaders to drive the success of employees, department, and organization
  • Create and deploy department strategy, vision, and goals
  • Develop and implement process and model improvements and identify gaps in process and leadership within the department
  • Analyze operations processes, identify improvement opportunities, and make strategic and technical recommendations to senior leadership to resolve gaps in systems, processes, and controls
  • Represents the department while collaborating between other internal department leaders to ensure the most efficient and effective processes are in place.

Recommend and implement changes as necessary

  • Communicate process, technology, controls, and SOX improvements to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Drive defining and implementing operations quality metrics and KPIs and track performance against key objectives
  • Ensure consistent execution and delivery of medium to large-scale initiatives, projects, and transformation activities
  • Provide feedback to department and organization regarding service failures, client concerns, or other identified trends
  • Work with key stakeholders, FP&A, and appropriate functional areas to implement and drive yearly operations planning activities
  • 10% - 30% of time required for travel depending on rotational assignment

Qualifications

Education / Certification :

Bachelor's degree

Experience :

  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership role,
  • Experience in technology project management, implementation and / or software operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Certification :

Master's degree MBA

Experience :

  • 7+ years' experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in technology project management, implementation and / or software operations

Skills / Abilities :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, executive presence, and ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of customer service best practice
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple high impact projects and prioritize effectively while delivering results on time
  • Collaborative leader with ability to give and receive feedback
  • Ability to quickly identify, resolve, and provide alternate solutions to problems
