Position Type : Full-time (M-F / / Possible on-call rotation schedule depends- contact for schedule)

Salary Range : $35 to $50 per hour

Job Description :

As a Diesel Generator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repair of diesel generators ranging from 100kW to 1.

5MW and occasionally larger generators. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation and reliability of our clients' generator systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures on various diesel generator systems, including but not limited to Cummins, Caterpillar (CAT), Kohler, Generac, Detroit, and others.
• Conduct oil changes, load bank testing, and routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of generator units.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and standard maintenance checks according to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and fuel system issues.
• Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to coordinate service visits, provide updates, and address any concerns or inquiries.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably specializing in generator systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing diesel engines, electrical systems, and control panels.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with generator brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar (CAT), Kohler, Generac, Detroit, etc.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
