GENERAL SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, develops and implements individual therapy programs for referred inpatients. Exercises independent judgment in selection of treatment methodology consistent with professional expertise, attending physician's prescription, and patient assessment for the purpose of restoring and enhancing functional independence.
Role focuses on establishing treatment plans, performing OT evaluations, collaboration with interdisciplinary team, participates in hospital performance improvement committees, and drives optimal care plans ensure safe discharge planning for patients.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in occupational therapy. Eligible for or Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts and Certification by AOTA.
2. CPR Certification Required.
3. Minimum of 6 months experience preferred.

Responds to physician orders for occupational therapy. Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients. Reviews patient charts and progress prior to treatment and modifies treatment plan accordingly.
Develops functional goals based on patient and / or family expectations. Develops, improves, or restores skills in activities of daily living, work, or productive activities.
Seeks clarification of physician orders as needed.
Education :
Required : Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy
Experience :
Preferred : 2 years as a practicing OT in a healthcare setting
Certifications :
Required : State licensure. AHA BLS.
