Position Summary

To prepare and assist in the preparation of pricing, RFQ's and other costs related information for the marketing group and / or other projects assigned by the Business Improvement Manager.

Analyze data to contribute to commercial team objectives and help to determine and achieve profitability expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares price quotations from data contained in computer cost / price system, applies appropriate margin from marketing and releases to sales representatives.
• Assures that all price quotations are documented and communicated to appropriate personnel in the business segments and customer service.
• Receives accepted price quotations in writing from sales representatives along with any change in quotes that have been approved by Marketing / Product Managers.
• Maintains price quote files and reviews periodically with Supply Chain, for obsolescence.
• Maintains pricing system files with material cost updates and tracks changes for historical review.
• Performs daily price audits.
• Works as primary point-of-contact for major bid submissions when inter-divisional work is required.
• Consults with appropriate Marketing Manager on pricing issues that are not standard operating procedures relative to the contract.
• Supports the maintenance of contract pricing, providing updated pricing during windows for price adjustments.
• Participates in contract progress meetings, providing factual information to sales, marketing and R&D representatives.
• Maintains printed price books.
• Maintains master customer lists for divisional and cross divisional customers when appropriate.
• Performs Catalog set-up / maintenance on products and manage aged / OOS inventory.
• Creates and maintains rebate documentation and works with Sales Department to complete Rebate Approval Process.
• Works with accounting department to resolve pricing claims.
• Supports any activities related to Sales Reporting, Forecasting, Profit Analysis and maintenance of ERP systems.
• Provides reports to management as required.
• Actively pursues opportunities to improve departmental process and procedures.
• Provides pricing support as needed for other Mactac divisions.
• Performs market research and keeps current with market trends.
• While there is no direct responsibility for major assets or operations in this position, accurate maintenance and consistent administration of cost information directly correlates to providing good pricing to the customer and a fair return to Mactac.

• Location : Stow, OH (Close proximity to Akron, OH & Cleveland, OH)
• Travel : less than 10%
Selection Criteria :
• Education :
• Education :
• A four-year college degree with emphasis in Marketing, Accounting, or Business.
• Experience :
• Three + years of marketing, business, or accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. Experience with database queries a plus.
• Strong abilities in areas of organization, administration, prioritization, and time management.
• A high level of communication skills both written and oral.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other windows-based products.
• Able to reason analytically, logically and in a consistent fashion.
• Proficiency in math including but not limited to calculating margins, ROI and account profitability.
• Strong understanding of the business, including the ability to explain the drivers of operating profit, return on sales and working capital.
• Knowledge of various estimating and cost accounting practices / systems.
• Knowledge of industry and market understanding preferred.
• Supply Chain or Operations curiosity a plus
• Cross-functional experience in a team environment a plus
• Contacts :
• Person will have contact with other sales and marketing personnel as well as contact with Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Customer Service, & Purchasing.
• Person will have occasional contact with customers, subcontractor's suppliers, and consultants.
