Primary Responsibilities Include :
- Assign and supervise the Physical Therapy Assistant’s patient care activities
- Assign and supervise the Rehab Technician’s on-patient activities
- Determine the necessary PT based on prescriptions / referrals / patient condition / records
- Review patient records and create / carry out treatment plans
- Oversee all assistant, technician, and student job assignments and activities
- Give lectures, provide PT and related training for in-house staff and outside groups
- Provide analytics and organizational oversight for the facility
- Assistance with payroll, filing, requisitions, and other duties as assigned
- Delegate appropriate patient care activities to the PTA in accordance with skill level
- Review physician's referrals and patient medical records / condition to determine PT treatment
- Evaluate and record the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
- Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on PT and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups
Successful Candidates Must Have :
- Master of Physical Therapy degree (MPT) or in the process of obtaining
- Current state licensure issued by the NC Board of Physical Therapy or in the process of obtaining
- Experience with EMR preferred
- Knowledge of insurance billing and coding preferred
