DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Patient evaluation and treatment, medication management, case conferencing and in-service training to the staff. Provide input into the incident review committee and training committee as well as outside conferences.

Provide emergency first aid / CPR assistance when needed. Related duties assigned. Report to the Medical Director.

HOURS :

Flexible Hours; 3 days a week

QUALIFICATIONS :

NYS Certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Have prior experience working with a MICA population. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

Vaccination preferred but not required

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION :

This 103-bed men's shelter in Brooklyn serves a population suffering from multiple issues including mental illness, substance abuse and serious medical problems.

The program offers the full range of case management services as well as on-site psychiatric and medical care. It also incorporates a workforce development component for women who can benefit from this service.

The Lexington Avenue Men's Residence is funded by the NYC Department of Homeless Services.
