Information System Security Officer
Key Role :
Review, implement, and manage policies and procedures to ensure database and software security. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working or general industry knowledge.
Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, and review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Basic Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience working as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or IT Service Management
- Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
- Experience with cybersecurity guidance, including strategies and whitepapers, and analyzing policies
- Experience with Vulnerability Management tools, including Nessus, ACAS, HBSS, or Fortify
- Experience with cybersecurity threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities
- Experience with Windows or Linux systems
- Ability to codify processes and procedures, and collaborate with other teams to determine gaps
- TS / SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ or CASP+ Certification
Additional Qualifications :
- Experience in a consulting environment and clearly communicating technical subjects to clients
- Experience with DevSecOps principles and practices
- Experience with enterprise environments and cloud architecture, including AWS or Azure
- Experience with continuous process improvement
- Experience with a System Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool
- Knowledge of the configuration management process, including CTF, RFC, and SIA processes
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Master’s degree in a technical field
- DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification, including CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
