We’re currently seeking a dedicated Life Enrichment Coordinator for Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, PA.
This is a full-time, Non-Exempt position with a rotating schedule.

WHAT YOU DO :
As the Life Enrichment Coordinator at the Luther Acres Personal Care Community, you’re an integral part of ensuring our residents enjoy enriching and engaging activities and programs.
Among your responsibilities, you will :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program to help meet the physical, social, intellectual, artistic, and spiritual needs of the residents including in-room activities and welcoming new residents.
- Communicate and inform the Personal Care Home Administrator and other department supervisors of activity programs and upcoming events.
- Cultivate community resources and entertainers to schedule various activities including special events.
- Create a monthly / daily activity calendar that reflects the varied interests of the residents.
- Coordinate and host all special events, including holiday events. Decorate community according to current holiday or event.
- Provide a forum for residents to meet monthly or as needed and share their ideas, thoughts, and concerns regarding the services provided at the community.
Submit resident feedback to the Personal Care Home Administrator for correction or staff recognition.
Cultivate opportunities for residents to engage in various community centers and service projects, i.e., local senior center.
ABOUT LUTHER ACRES :
Luther Acres located in the charming, historic town of Lititz is a Continuing Care Retirement Community with a long history of providing excellent care and services.
It is part of Luthercare, which is a not-for-profit, faith-based, and mission-driven organization. Luthercare provides a network of services through its full continuum of care with three communities in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.
Luther Acres is its largest community, with nearly 600 residents living across its independent living cottages and apartments, personal care apartments, and skilled nursing healthcare center.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Life Enrichment, Health and Wellness and / or certification from National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) or related experience.
- Individuals in this position must have obtained age eighteen (18) prior to first day of employment or transfer into position.
- Possess a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the health and well-being of aging adults including those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a therapeutic attitude toward and effective relationship with the physically ill or infirm residents.
- Fit testing as needed per Luthercare’s Respiratory Prevention Program.
- Ability to perform the functions required to push a wheelchair and transport residents.
PREFERRED JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES / EDUCATION :
- Ability to utilize electronic health record processes as needed.
- Creativity with planning activities / events for the residents and their families.
- Problem solving skills, especially at a moment's notice.
- Communication skills with family members and other staff.
