Turner & Townsend’s Seattle, Washington team are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead their Cost Management team.
Working within our Real Estate Cost Management team, you will be supporting Developers, Manufacturers, Retail, Health and Tech clients.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven and able to work independently as well as part of a team. In this significant position you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction, embedding, and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.
Responsibilities :
- Onsite / in-office work is required.
- Strong leadership skills; experience leading a Cost Management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
- Pivot between a delivery and management role.
- Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client, stakeholders and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Process improvement Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the market, acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunity.
- Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Attend relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities.
- Support our existing key client relationships.
- Lead proposals for new work.
- Be responsible for the financial management of commissions.
- Undertake Staff Performance reviews.
- Set a clear strategy and ambition for the team.
- Identify, coach and mentor talent to realize their potential and celebrate the success of others.
- Grow and develop exceptional people.
- Display excellence in leadership and service delivery.

Minimum Requirements :
- SME in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in the construction industry with a good understanding of the role of a cost consultant.
- Effectively able to pivot between a delivery and management role.
- Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering.
- RICS or equivalent accreditation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency using spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Drive to be proactive and self-motivated.
- The tenacity and ambition to inject value and create solutions.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with project teams.
- Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be a team player.
The salary range for this full-time role is $160K-$185K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
