Job Duties
- Oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Manage and supervise the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
- Monitor and manage the AP aging report to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of AP transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits related to accounts payable.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of the AP process.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in accounts payable management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Experience with accounting software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
