Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Needed in Joliet, IL
Job Description : An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Joliet, IL. This role is pivotal for providing expert speech and language therapy services within a school environment, aiming to improve communication skills and academic performance of students.
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, knowledgeable in the field of speech therapy, and dedicated to fostering a supportive educational setting.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and parents to enhance student learning and communication abilities.
- Regularly assess student progress and adapt therapy plans accordingly.
Qualifications :
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Illinois state licensure as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric clients is highly beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and educators.
