Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the UI team to help implement player-facing features that align with gameplay goals and accessibility standards
- Manage all aspects of UI script implementation, including : logic, data structure, and layout
- Work with UX designers and UI artists to stand up prototypes and implement pixel-perfect layout and animation
- Refine features based on feedback, design requirements, and creative direction
- Work with producers and directors to estimate and prioritize work, and to help coordinate collaboration across departments
- Work with UI engineers to help inform direction of tools and engine capabilities
Requirements :
- Professional game development experience or comparable collegiate experience
- Experience with scripting languages (such as Lua, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Experience with UI / UX
- A collaborative and inclusive attitude - listen, ask questions, and learn
- An understanding of UX principles, layout, motion, and visual fidelity
- Located near or willing to relocate near Los Angeles, CA
Nice To Have :
- Experience with C++
- Experience with large code bases
- Experience with UI frameworks : UMG, Unity UI, Coherent, Scaleform, ImGui, WPF, Qt
- Experience working in a multiplayer live service environment
- Interest in accessibility and developing inclusive player experiences

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The hourly pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the hourly pay range for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
HOURLY PAY RANGES
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) :
º $34 - $51 USD Hourly
The hourly rate is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical / dental / vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
