The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to a group of patients through the use of the nursing process and in line with the institution's philosophy.
Responsibilities include :
- Performing all unit-specific duties and responsibilities
- Completing initial patient assessments and developing care plans
- Ensuring patient and employee safety
- Communicating effectively with patients and colleagues
- Fulfilling departmental competencies
In addition, the role involves ensuring good communication with patients / family, working with the critical care team for ICU lite patients, and collaborating with hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.
