About the Opportunity
- Location : Bronx
- Specialty : NP Vascular Surgery
- Schedule : Full-time, 3 days / week 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities
The Vascular Nurse Practitioner (NP) will :
- Provide care to surgery patients under the direction of a variety of surgery specialists
- Promote a safe, cooperative, and professional healthcare environment to ensure optimum patient care
- Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures and studies, including but not limited to blood and tissue specimens
- Interpret data to formulate a differential diagnosis and establish a working diagnosis and treatment plan for both inpatient and outpatient surgical patients, under supervision of attending
- Under supervision, perform minor surgical outpatient procedures, such as, but not limited to, wound management / debridement, incision, and drainage
- Order, prescribe, and dispense / administer medications, as deemed necessary by the attending
Qualifications
- Current New York State License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification
- DEA License
- Strong medical skills and knowledge
