What You'll Do :

  • Define, manage, modify, and develop new products.
  • Manage the definition of 3D models and 2D drawings, assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, Product Validation and participate at the product industrialization phase of development.
  • Participate in current product maintenance activities (product modifications, product codifications as well as involvement in solving quality issues on current production activities).
  • Provide technical support for application engineering and sales teams.
  • Well versed in the need for and participates in the project / study input definition.
  • Lead studies and validations of new concepts and products on the projects you are currently working on.
  • Participate in the manufacturing process studies associated.
  • Create the definition folder of the parts and components designed, in accordance with manufacturing teams.
  • Participate in the risk failure analysis (DFMEA and PFMEA) and in the building of the design validation plan, determining the validation tests demands and ensuring the DVP&R follow up.
  • Determine sizing calculations on the parts and components designed as well as FEA / Fatigue calculations.
  • Lead contributor in the comparison between the different concepts in terms of design, risk, quality and cost.
  • Strong ability to communicate internally and externally with customers and suppliers.

What Makes You a Good Fit :

  • Mechanical design experience using CAD software (Creo is preferred).
  • Windchill PLM knowledge is also a plus.
  • Good knowledge of the use of FEA method applied to mechanical resistance calculations.
  • CFD knowledge is a plus.
  • A positive outlook, enthusiasm, and eagerness to collaborate will be just as essential to your success as your technical skills.
  • Ability to work with cross cultural teams.
  • Good knowledge of the FMEA Risk Analysis Method is appreciated.
