Visit us online at : JOB TITLE : Tech - Nuclear Med POSITION SUMMARY : The Tech - Nuclear Med performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for diagnostic scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information.

Operates nuclear medicine gamma camera and other radioactive detecting devices. Produces images and calculations of radioactive isotopes specific to each exam ordered.

The Tech - Nuclear Med works with all patient groups, geriatric, pediatric, trauma and surgical patients. KEY PERFORMANCE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Performs a variety of Nuclear Medicine exams.

Assist Radiologist and referring physicians. Provides appropriate nuclear medicine skills. Provides appropriate patient care.

Has a clear understanding of calculations for isotopes for different age groups and exams. Has understanding of different cultural needs and language barriers and languages hotline.

Provides leadership and instruction to other personnel and nuclear medicine students. Assists the nuclear medicine coordinator with radiation safety responsibilities.

Operates departments of responsibility in such a way as to meet the fiscal goals of the organization. Follows policies and procedures set by Supervisors and Directors.

Works to maintain satisfaction of department customers to include patients, employees and physicians through effective communication and appropriate responsiveness to customer issues.
