Experience : Minimum 2 years in a large Emergency Department
License : Active NM or compact license
Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
Must-Have :
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Previous completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
- Team player, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass basic cardiac arrhythmia testing during the first week of the assignment
Job Description :
- Follow a 75-mile straight line radius rule; local travelers are not eligible
- Candidate awareness of submission is required
- Time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission
- No holiday time off requests will be approved for travelers
- Must include two references with one from a current manager, a resume, and a completed skills checklist / competency assessment during submission
- Night shift hours : 7p-7a, shift length may fluctuate to meet department needs
- Call requirements : One 8-hour call shift every six weeks
- Floating requirements : Yes, including to alternate locations within 20 miles
- Weekend requirements : 4-5 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Holiday coverage required
- Orientation includes EPIC training, not exceeding 40 hours
- Scrubs : RNs may wear any solid color. The scrub top, pant, and jacket (if worn) must be the same solid color to match
- Travelers must not have been an employee of the healthcare system for 12 months from the last day worked to be eligible for a travel position.
