This role is onsite 4 days a week at an Accenture location - Fairfax, VA; Warrenton, VA, Pentagon, D.C. or Fort Washington, MD.
JOB SUMMARY :
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer III to help contribute to an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems engineering life cycle.
You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Strong understanding of Linux. Including but not limited to SELinux, daemons, user management, storage management, and log diving techniques.
- Network methodologies / using squid service for transit proxy configuration.
- Familiarity with nginx and reverse proxy configurations.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting / managing docker (docker compose, backup and restore docker components, etc.)
- Familiarity with JFrog / Artifactory (configuring repos and artifacts and integration with docker hub registry)
- Able to manage guacamole virtual desktops and provision user accounts and environments with xrdp.
- Ability to use AWS CLI tool to quickly perform tasks and gather data regarding AWS services (EC2, S3, EBS, etc.)
- Strong background in bash scripting to automate tasks and operations on multiple fabrics.
- Understand how to provision and manage Keycloak; authentication mechanism for realms, clients, and user roles.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Full cycle systems engineering of new capabilities
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Analyze high-level needs
- Capability and requirement derivation based on customer needs
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Define structured and logical approaches to refine the capability into an integrated set of
- requirements that lead to a fielded product
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Maintains a customer focus attitude to ensure customer satisfaction
- Providing clear, concise, and timely communication with customers, supervisors, and project managers
- Work within a team environment and attend meetings with other team members, customers, etc.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- 10 years of experience or more in Cloud / System Engineering
- Experience with A WS specifically EC2 and S3 services
- Docker, Virtualization, Kubernetes, Containerization experience
- Experience with use cases, performance specification development and UML modeling preferred
- Experience in systems-of-systems definition, development, and integration
- Ability to analyze high level needs
- Ability to define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a fielded product
- Experience with Windows & Unix / Linux
- Experience with Agile methodology for software development
- Active Top Secret Clearance Required - TS / SCI Clearance Preferred
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS :
BS / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject preferred but not required
