Job specification

• Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Labor and Delivery unit, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery within the unit.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Labor and Delivery unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards for maternal care services.
• Provide leadership and support during maternal emergencies.

Candidate requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in maternal care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• Certification in Maternal Nursing (CMN) is preferred.
