Vivo HealthStaff is actively recruiting for a Mobile Ultrasound Technologist. This role primarily involves performing ultrasound services in various nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites throughout the regions serviced by Diagnostic Laboratories, requiring travel by automobile to these locations.

Job Description :

Self-Dispatching and Communication : Log in for self-dispatching or call the dispatch department for beginning case load information.

Check voicemail and dispatch system regularly for updates.

  • Equipment Handling : Transport and set up portable sonographic equipment at various facilities to perform physician-ordered exams, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images.
  • Image Processing : Perform and process ultrasounds using portable equipment and digitally send them to a Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Professional Conduct : Wear the company uniform and name tag, adhere to the dress code, and carry the company-provided phone.
  • Patient Interaction : Verify patient identity through two identifiers and ensure correct orders are documented before proceeding with the exam.
  • Health and Safety Compliance : Undergo medical physical examinations and TB screening annually, and attend infection control in-service.
  • Documentation and Billing : Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily as per protocol.
  • Equipment Maintenance : Maintain vehicle and sonographic equipment, reporting any malfunctions immediately.
  • Professional Development : Continuously improve understanding and knowledge in the field, and train other technologists as required.
  • Compliance : Adhere to company policies, including drug-free workplace and criminal background changes.

Physical Demands :

  • Lifting equipment bags (18-20 pounds of force) and pulling wheeled carts for up to 250 feet.
  • Requires extensive use of personal computer, phone, and general office equipment.

Requirements :

  • California license
  • Registration with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound.
  • Preferred vascular (ARDMS : RVT, CCI : RVS, or ARRT : R.T.(VS)) registration; dual modalities a plus.
  • Must be Echo (RDCS or RCS AND RVT or RVS) certified.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Required; proof must be submitted at the time of candidate submission.
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to produce it on demand.
