ABOUT THE AVALANCHE BRIDGE TEAM
The Interoperability team develops novel solutions for blockchains to communicate with one another seamlessly and securely.
This includes connecting Avalanche to external ecosystems (Ethereum and Bitcoin) via the Avalanche Bridge, and connecting Avalanche subnets via Avalanche Warp Messaging and Teleporter.
Future work includes extending interoperability to new virtual machines, and exploring new use cases of cross-chain applications.
The mission is to make it as easy as possible for chains to connect and exchange data, ultimately making many blockchains feel like one.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Interoperability team. The Interoperability team is responsible for delivering the new EVM bridge re-architecture, which will significantly reduce the operational cost of the bridge.
This particular role will be an integral part of contributing to intra-Avalanche interoperability efforts, such as connecting HyperSDK programs to be natively interoperable with the C-chain.

- Contribute to core technical projects of the Avalanche Bridge, from planning through release
- Work with our talented product, business, and engineering teams to communicate and align on upcoming features and releases

- BS in Computer Science or related discipline
- 1+ years of hands on blockchain, consensus protocols, distributed systems, applied cryptography, or similar systems
- C++, Golang and / or Solidity
- Strong understanding of blockchains and distributed systems (fee structures, transaction formats & consensus mechanisms)
- Hands on experience with cloud deployments (AWS and / or Azure)
- Experience with cross-chain protocols and smart contract development is a plus
