Overview :

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team in Orange, CA. This pivotal role involves assisting in the management of financial operations, including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience in the HVAC or construction industry, and a proven track record of managing complex financial tasks with precision and accountability.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain financial health and liquidity.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Support audit and tax filing processes by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Ensure strict compliance with accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient workplace.
• Handle additional duties and projects as assigned by the Controller.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in the HVAC or construction industry.
• Profound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• High proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
