Salary : $23 - $26 per hour DOE

Schedule : Full-time; Tuesday - Saturday 8 am to 5 pm

Maintenance Technician Purpose :

The purpose of the Maintenance Technician II is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the community, in a manner consistent with Thrive’s Values.

This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The Maintenance Technician II will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.

In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician II could assume all maintenance responsibilities.

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities :

  • Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
  • Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.
  • Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
  • Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
  • Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment and happy resident base.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications :

  • At least 2+ years of maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong team player
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative on tasks and projects
  • Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day. Estimated 60% - 100% of time is spent on feet.
  • Occasional need to type, write, & grasp (working at a computer and answering phones)
  • Estimated 60% - 100% need to bend / stoop / squat, climb stairs, push or pull, and reach above shoulder
  • Ability to lift / move / push / pull up to 150 lbs on occasion with a frequent need to lift / push / pull 25 lbs - 75lbs and be on your feet a majority of the day
